This time, Alabama is the one hiring away a Georgia staffer.
According to BamaOnline, the Crimson Tide has reportedly hired Georgia’s director of player personnel Sam Petitto in some capacity. BamaOnline’s report states that it isn’t clear what his role with Alabama will be.
Petitto hadn’t been in Athens long. He spent the last two seasons on the Bulldogs’ staff, first joining the program in 2014 as the Assistant Director of Player Personnel.
Petitto has worked under Saban before, serving as a defensive intern in Tuscaloosa in 2008.
