JUCO standout Eddy Pineiro, considered one of the nation’s top kickers in the 2016 class, committed to Alabama on Thursday, giving the Crimson Tide 13 verbal commits for next season.

Pineiro starred at ASA College in Miami last fall and may decide to skip this season in order to have four years of eligibility remaining when he enrolls at Alabama in January.
He reportedly impressed coaches over the weekend with a 65-yard boot at Alabama’s kicking camp. He chose Alabama over Miami.
“It’s Alabama what’s not to like,” Pineiro told 247Sports. “How can you not go there?”
