Christopher Allen’s recovery from preseason knee surgery must be going well.

Alabama’s sophomore linebacker suggested as much Tuesday when he tweeted a video of himself running for the first time since he had his ACL and meniscus surgically repaired.

Allen — who had six total tackles, a tackle for loss and a forced fumble in seven games as a freshman — was slated to contribute at outside linebacker again this season before injuring his knee during fall camp in August. He had surgery shortly afterward and appears to be rapidly progressing through his rehab.

The 6-foot-4, 242-pound Allen is a Baton Rouge native, so him getting back to running bodes doubly well for the No. 1 Crimson Tide as it prepares to face No. 4 LSU in Tiger Stadium on Saturday.
