Alabama makes big jump in Danny Kanell’s weekly top 8 rankings

Danny Kanell ranks his top 8 teams in college football after every Saturday of action around the country.
In recent weeks, Kanell hasn’t had Alabama in his top 8. But, despite being off on Saturday, the Tide made a jump in his rankings this week.
Now, Alabama finds itself at No. 6, jumping from outside the rankings to a spot ahead of Oregon and Ohio State. Here’s a look at the full rankings, led by Georgia:

Of course, when the first College Football Playoff rankings are released on Tuesday, Alabama could find itself even higher than No. 6. Also, Ohio State figures to be ranked above No. 8.
