The Crimson Tide pulled out a crucial win on the road over the weekend.

Alabama traveled to Mississippi State for a top-20 matchup against the Bulldogs. The Tide entered the game with an undefeated record but were dealing with a number of crucial injuries.

The game turned into a thriller that saw MSU carry a lead into the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs were in prime position to pull off the upset but could not come away with the win. Alabama finished the game on a 14-3 run to pull ahead.

Jalen Hurts threw the game-winning touchdown and Alabama moved to 10-0 after surviving the scare. It was a great rally for Nick Saban’s team, and the coaching staff named 10 Players of the Week for the game. The school shared the announcement on Monday.

The Offensive Players of the Week for Alabama are Hurts, WR Calvin Ridley, RB Josh Jacobs, and OL Jonah Williams. Hurts came up big for the Tide all night long. He accounted for 282 yards of offense with 2 TDs, including the game-winner with 25 seconds left. Ridley made the most of his five catches and finished with 171 receiving yards with four first downs to his credit. Jacobs had a strong night in a variety of ways for the Tide. He finished with 36 rushing yards and a touchdown while adding two catches for 18 yards. Williams was once again the star on the OL. He graded out at 90% and did not allow a sack or QB pressure in the game.

The Defensive Players of the Week for Alabama are DB Ronnie Harrison, LB Anfernee Jennings, DB Anthony Averett, and DL Quinnen Williams. Harrison put up seven tackles with four solo tackles against the Bulldogs while Jennings recorded six tackles and a QB hurry. Williams, a freshman, played well along the defensive front with four tackles, one tackle for loss, and a QB hurry. Averett had five tackles and two pass breakups for the Tide.

The Special Teams Players of the Week for Alabama are DB Keaton Anderson and DB Deionte Thompson. Both players served on kick coverage and limited the Bulldogs return game all night long.
