Alabama offensive line coach Doug Marrone, along with offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien, had tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, leaving in doubt the possibility that the 2 would be on the sideline for the Crimson Tide’s College Football Playoff semifinal game against Cincinnati.

On Tuesday evening, it was reported by AL.com that O’Brien was able to make the trip to Texas a day after the CDC updated its recommendations for those that had tested positive but were not exhibiting symptoms. Now, according to Michael Casagrande, Marrone also received the green light to travel as well, meaning both he and O’Brien will be on the sideline on Friday against the Bearcats.

There have been no reported cases of COVID-19 among Alabama players to this point.
