Alabama OL Tanner Bowles was a 4-star recruit in the Crimson Tide’s 2019 signing class, coming to Tuscaloosa by way of Glasgow, Kentucky.

In 4 years with Alabama, he has appeared in 18 games as a backup, playing multiple spots along the offensive line.

But on Wednesday, Bowles reportedly made the decision to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal:

The Crimson Tide have been hit hard by portal departures this week, with a pair of receivers among the latest entries.

Bowles has earned some valuable experience playing along Alabama’s offensive line, but we’ll see if he ends up somewhere where he can crack the starting rotation in 2023 and beyond.
