Alabama opens as huge betting favorite against Tennessee

Alabama was able to hang on and get a tough win on Saturday in Columbia, as the Crimson Tide defeated Missouri, 27-24. With that win, Alabama has won three consecutive games against SEC teams in the top 25, which is something that Nick Saban did only once during his time in Tuscaloosa.
Tennessee also held on for a win on Saturday, as the Volunteers knocked off Arkansas, 34-31. The Volunteers were up 17 early in the fourth, but the Razorbacks made things interesting late.
These two teams played a great game last year in Knoxville, with the Volunteers getting a 24-17 victory. This year though, the game is in Tuscaloosa, and the Crimson Tide are favored by 8 points in this game.

Quarterback Ty Simpson continued his incredible start to the 2025 season, as he threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns in the win against the Tigers. For the season, he has thrown for 1,678 yards, 16 touchdowns and one interception.
His counterpart in this game is Joey Aguilar, who is also having a fantastic season for the Volunteers. He has thrown for 1,680 yards, 14 touchdowns and five interceptions. If he is able to limit the big mistake, then the Volunteers will have a chance. In Tennessee’s lone loss this year, Aguilar threw three interceptions against Georgia.
Kickoff between the two rivals is set for 7:30 p.m. ET, and the game will be on ABC.
