The Alabama Crimson Tide have no shortage of offensive weapons for junior quarterback Ty Simpson to distribute the ball to, as the Tide boasts as elite an arsenal of pass catchers and ball carriers as any team in the nation.
While guys like Ryan Williams and Jam Miller get most of the touches, another unusual player has emerged in goal-line situations for head coach Kalen DeBoer over the past several weeks, and that’s none other than star left tackle Kadyn Proctor.
The big man for the Tide made headlines when he caught a screen pass against Georgia a couple of weeks ago that almost went for a touchdown, and he almost found the end zone again in the third quarter against Missouri, this time on a designed wildcat run.
At 6-foot-7, 366 pounds, it’s hard to imagine any player wanting to meet Proctor in the gap as he barrels down towards the goal line, and he was only stopped by a gang of Tiger defenders.
Proctor has been held out of the end zone thus far in 2025, but it seems like it’s only a matter of time before the future first-rounder finally punches something in for the Tide.
