Alabama picks up 2027 commitment from edge out of Georgia

Alabama has added a new commitment to its 2027 recruiting class.
Stevan Thornton III is the newest pledge for Kalen DeBoer‘s program. He announced his commitment to UA on Tuesday night via social media.

Out of Cairo (Georgia) High School, Thornton is listed as measuring 6-5 and 194 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Thornton is rated 3-stars, the No. 64 edge defender, No. 95 player in the state of Georgia and No. 812 prospect overall in the Class of 2027.
Thornton has collected scholarship offers from 24 programs during his recruitment. Arkansas, Georgia, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Vanderbilt are among the other schools that have shown interest.
