Auburn transfer Sebastian Williams-Adams announces commitment to SEC team

Sebastian Williams-Adams is staying in the SEC.
After spending his freshman season at Auburn, Williams-Adams entered the transfer portal on Monday. On Tuesday, Williams-Adams announced that he is continuing his college basketball career at Vanderbilt. He shared the news on Instagram.

Williams-Adams played in 38 games for the Tigers, making 21 starts. For the year, he logged 1,040 minutes, third-most for an AU freshman in program history. He averaged 7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists over 27.3 minutes per game.
He set a school record for freshmen with 47 steals this past season. Williams-Adams was a 50.5% shooter from the field and had 10 double-figure scoring outings. His career-high is 15 points, a total he matched in Auburn’s win over Seattle during the NIT. In his final game as a Tiger, Williams-Adams scored 13 points and snagged 2 steals in the win over Tulsa in the NIT championship game.
Williams-Adams is listed at 6-8 and 230 pounds. He’s originally from Houston, Texas and was a blue-chip recruit out of high school. He joins a Vanderbilt squad coming off a 27-9 season, the program’s best overall record since 2011-12.
