Alabama players voted to postpone NFL Draft grade inquiry until after Monday
Alabama coach Nick Saban has been open about the fact that the team had too many distractions in last season’s College Football Playoff semifinal loss to Ohio State.
One of those was due to several players being anxious about going to the NFL and how high they could potentially be taken.
That doesn’t seem like it’ll be a problem this season.
According to ESPN’s Joe Schad, junior tight end O.J. Howard told him that the players took a collective vote about it, and the results led to the team delaying any inquiry to the NFL about their draft prospects until after the national championship game against Clemson on Monday.

The Crimson Tide had seven players selected in last year’s draft: receiver Amari Cooper, safety Landon Collins, running back T.J. Yeldon, fullback Jalston Fowler, offensive linemen Arie Kouandjio and Austin Shepherd as well as Xzavier Dickson.
