Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts has a fellow true freshman to thank for aiding in his huge day against Mississippi State last weekend.
Right tackle Jonah Williams did not allow a single pressure in pass protection on 42 snaps against the Bulldogs, CFB Film Room tweeted Tuesday afternoon. It was his first “perfect game” of the season.

Williams’ efforts helped Hurts complete 28-of-37 passes for 347 yards and four touchdowns in No. 1 Alabama’s 51-3 romp. The quarterback added 100 yards on the ground, becoming the first Crimson Tide player to pass for 300 yards and rush for another 100 in the same game.
As a result, Hurts pulled in a string of weekly awards. But it seems like Williams deserves an honor of his own after last Saturday.
