Alabama snags commitment from 4-star 2021 defensive end out of Maryland

The Alabama Crimson Tide have skyrocketed up the recruiting rankings recently, and on Saturday, they added another big piece to their 2021 class.
The latest player to commit, a 4-star defensive end from Fort Washington, Maryland, did so on Saturday afternoon.
As you can see below, Monkell Goodwine announced via the below video that he was pledging to Alabama:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Goodwine is the No. 9 strong-side defensive end in the class of 2021 and the No. 4 overall recruit from the state of Maryland.
The Crimson Tide now have 17 players in their 2021 recruiting class, which currently ranks No. 2 in the nation and No. 1 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
