Alabama’s off-field staff appears to be undergoing some changes in the analyst department.

Matt Zenitz of On3 was the first to report 2 developments on the UA analyst front. Max Bullough, recently promoted from graduate assistant to defensive analyst, is now reportedly headed to Notre Dame. Meanwhile, on the other side of the ball, the Crimson Tide is reportedly adding former Boston College offensive coordinator John McNulty as an analyst.

Bullough spent 3 seasons on Nick Saban’s staff as a graduate assistant working with Crimson Tide inside linebackers. As AL.com’s Mike Rodak noted, Bullough is no longer listed among Alabama’s analysts on the team website after his recent promotion to an analyst position.

McNulty heads to Alabama to be an analyst for former colleague Tommy Rees, the Crimson Tide’s new offensive coordinator. McNulty and Rees worked together at Notre Dame in 2020 and ’21 when McNulty was tight ends coach and Rees was the Irish’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. McNulty, 54, is coming off of a rough 2022 season as Boston College’s offensive coordinator.
