Nick Saban’s army of assistant coaches in Tuscaloosa is down a support staffer.

Previously listed as a football department analyst at Alabama, Brendan Farrell is reportedly leaving Tuscaloosa for an opportunity at the NFL level. According to FootballScoop, Farrell has left Alabama for the Miami Dolphins.

Ferrell was hired by Saban back in 2013 following a stint as Northwestern State’s tight ends and special teams coordinator. A Notre Dame graduate, Ferrell played linebacker for the Irish from 1996-1999. He also previously served in Baton Rouge, when Saban led LSU to the national championship.

Ironically enough, Farrell is now leaving the college game to coach with the Dolphins, something Saban has also experienced.
