All eyes are on Alabama’s quarterbacks Saturday during the team’s second scrimmage.

Respected Alabama beat writer Matt Zenitz, AL.com, let out a few nuggets on Twitter about one of the most talked about position battles in the country. While all eyes are on the recovering Jake Coker and redshirt freshman David Cornwell, Zenitz said from everything he’s hearing, the game one starter won’t be either.

The majority thinks Coker will win the starting job. ESPN predicted that Cornwell would be the game one starter, and now, Zenitz said he’s hearing it could be Alec Morris.

The most talented of the quarterbacks is likely freshman Blake Barnett, but would Nick Saban and Lane Kiffin really start a true freshman the first game of the season? That would be surprising.
