Alabama had multiple wide receivers on Sunday announce their plans to enter the transfer portal as Caleb Odom and Kendrick Law are both reportedly investigating their options in the portal. Now, another Alabama offensive player is reportedly looking that way.
On Monday, On3 Sports reported that tight end Danny Lewis will also be hitting the portal.

Lewis played throughout the 2024 season but was used as a blocker with the majority of his playing time being on special teams. He was a 3-star tight end in the 2022 recruiting class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, and he was the No. 30 TE in the class. He chose Alabama over other schools such as Florida, LSU, Arizona State and Indiana among others.
During his Alabama career, Lewis has 1 catch from a game against Tennessee Chattanooga during the 2023 season and will have 3 years of eligibility remaining.
There have been many players over the last few weeks making the announcement that they plan to enter the transfer portal. However, Monday is the first day when underclassmen can actually begin the process, so expect the list of players making a similar announcement to grow over the next couple of weeks.
The Crimson Tide still have 1 game remaining in the 2024 season, as they will take on Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl in a rematch of last year’s CFP semifinal.
