Alabama tight end Robbie Ouzts is a big-time athlete despite a massive frame, and he put that athleticism on full display at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis on Friday.

The former Crimson Tide pass-catcher wowed during vertical jump testing. His vertical measured at 34 inches, which marked the best by any tight end weighing at least 270 pounds since 2003.

During his time playing tight end at Alabama, he was more known as a blocker, but he started to show some playmaking ability late in the 2024 season. He had 2 touchdown catches late in the year, including a 25-yard score in the ReliaQuest Bowl against Michigan.

A position switch could be in store for Ouzts, as many analysts think he could move to the fullback position. His size and versatility figure to get him a shot regardless if he is drafted or not, as he contributed on special teams all throughout his career at Alabama.

The NFL Combine wraps up this weekend in Indianapolis, and then Outzs and all the other draft prospects will have opportunities to impress scouts during the team’s pro day. Alabama’s pro day is currently scheduled for March 19 and will feature Jihaad Campbell, Tyler Booker, and Que Robinson, among others.
