Alabama vs. Mercer reaction: Tide rolls but doesn’t look overly impressive
Nobody expected Mercer to challenge top-ranked Alabama on Saturday, and it didn’t happen, as the Crimson Tide rolled to a convincing 48-14 victory.
Nick Saban’s team, however, didn’t look especially sharp in the winning effort, and he appeared displeased at times, including when he made his way to the locker room for halftime.
"They'll understand this week because they are going to play a really good Florida team. So, if they don't wake up and shake themselves, alright, they'll get shook."

Could it have been a letdown of sorts? After all, Alabama played a huge game against then 14th-ranked Miami a week ago, winning big, 44-13.
It’s certainly possible. Either way, while a resounding victory from the Crimson Tide was what observers expected and got today, questions remain for many about just how good this team might be, which was evidenced on Twitter during and after the game.
Here’s a look at some of the reaction to Alabama’s win and upside following the victory over the Bears:

With Florida on the schedule next week in the SEC opener for both teams, everyone should no more about Alabama sooner than later.
