Big win helps Alabama bolster position in Week 12 AP Top 25 Poll

Alabama turned in the most impressive performance of the weekend Saturday, dominating Dak Prescott and Mississippi State.
That was enough for the Tide to remain firmly at No. 3 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll, released Sunday. Alabama received four first-place votes, two more than Ohio State, which was ranked No. 2. Clemson remained No. 1.

The Tide received four first-place votes and moved up one spot to No. 3 in the Coaches Poll.
Alabama was ranked No. 2 behind Clemson in last week’s College Football Playoff ranking. The next CFP Poll is released at 7 p.m. Eastern Tuesday.
The Crimson Tide’s 31-6 road victory over the Bulldogs was its second consecutive over a ranked opponent and third in the past four games.
Overall, Alabama is 5-1 against ranked teams.
For comparison, Clemson is 2-0 against ranked teams, Notre Dame is 2-1 and Ohio State has yet to play a ranked team.
Alabama hosts FCS Charleston Southern on Saturday before closing the regular season Nov. 28 in its annual Iron Bowl matchup at Auburn.
