Alabama wide receiver Noah Rogers was hoping to officially announce his arrival to Crimson Tide fans with a memorable performance in Saturday afternoon’s A-Day Spring Game in Tuscaloosa.
Instead, all Rogers did was instill fear in those fans that he might be out for some significant time this offseason. That’s because the much-hyped NC State transfer had to be carted to the locker room with a brace on his left leg during Saturday’s spring showcase, a gruesome site for head coach Kalen DeBoer, his players, assistant coaches and any of the fans who showed up to see how the 2026 roster was shaping up.
According to Mike Rodak, who covers Alabama football for Bama247, Rogers was injured when he fell while going for an incomplete pass in the end zone.
Rogers was in the midst of a strong showing this spring after his transfer from NC State. But things turned bad on Saturday, as he was unable to put any weight on that left leg before being carted to the locker room.
With Ryan Coleman-Williams and Lotzeir Brooks being the assumed No. 1 and 2 wideouts right now for Alabama, Rogers was making a run at the No. 3 spot. Obviously now the most important thing is his condition and status going forward after Saturday’s injury.
Rogers had 919 yards receiving and 3 touchdowns during his 2 seasons at NC State.
Alabama hopes it can overcome whatever seriousness comes out of Rogers’ injury in the spring game and still compete for an SEC title in 2026. Here is what the Kalshi market is currently saying about the top teams in the mix to be holding that SEC championship trophy in December:
