The No. 10 Alabama Crimson Tide shut out Eastern Illinois 56-0 in Week 13 to get back on track following a their loss to the No. 11 Sooners in Week 12, 23-21. Now they close these with one of the South’s most heated rivalries, the Iron Bowl against Auburn.

The Tigers are coming off a 67-12 win over Mercer. The debut of freshman quarterback Deuce Knight led Auburn with 239 yards on 15 of 20 passing for 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. He also carried the ball 9 times for 162 yards and 4 rushing touchdowns.

Alabama’s Germie Bernard joined the Next Round Live show to share his thoughts on how this year’s Iron Bowl will play out on the Plains.

“It’s obviously a great atmosphere, a place that a lot of people want to play,” Bernard said. “But who said we can’t change that? Who says we can’t go out there and blow them out how we did last year? Not saying they’re a bad team, they’re a great team.

“Like coach always says, we don’t have to make the games close.”

Bernard leads the Crimson Tide with 48 receptions for 676 yards and 6 receiving touchdowns this season. He didn’t see any action due to injury against Eastern Illinois but could return just in time to make his bold prediction a reality.

Alabama leads the all-time series 51–37–1 over Auburn. The 90th edition of the Iron Bowl is set to kick off is set  7:30 PM ET from Jordan Hare Stadium live on ABC.
