For Alabama players and coaches, there is no escaping it: everyone is asking about Tua Tagovailoa. WR Jerry Jeudy shared an encouraging assessment when he met with the media.

“I see him make some reps in practice,” Jeudy told reporters. “I see him doing every drill that quarterbacks do, and yeah, I feel like he’s 100 percent.”

Tagovailoa himself said he feels he is at 80-85 percent. We may find out Saturday that even at 80-85 percent healthy, Tagovailoa is close to 100 percent effective. It will likely be evident in the early going whether Tagovailoa is able to scramble and throw without being affected by the high-ankle sprain.

If Tagovailoa can’t go or has to exit the game, Jeudy is confident in backup QB Jalen Hurts leading the Crimson Tide to another victory.

“We’re very comfortable with both our quarterbacks,” Jeudy said. “Both of them know how to make plays. Both of them are great leaders, and both of them know how to win games, so we’ve got a very good comfort level.”
