Alabama’s quarterback battle is one of the most discussed topics of fall camp. So far, redshirt junior Cooper Bateman has taken the majority of reps, followed by redshirt freshman Blake Barnett, true freshman Jalen Hurts and redshirt sophomore David Cornwell.

Bateman has long been the favorite to win the quarterback job following Jacob Coker’s departures. Many also expected Barnett to emerge as the second string quarterback and challenge the junior for the starting job.
Apparently, Cornwell has been limited in reps due to a foot injury. It’s also worth noting that Hurts had a strong showing in Sunday’s practice.
