It was first reported earlier Tuesday that Albert Okwuegbunam was going to be cut by the Denver Broncos as NFL teams have to cut their rosters down to 53 players.
However, after receiving interest from the Philadelphia Eagles, the Broncos were able to send Okwuegbunam in a trade.

The Eagles sent a 2025 6th round pick to the Broncos for Okwuegbunam and a 2025 7th pick.
The former Missouri star has been impressive in the preseason, wrapping it up with 7 catches, 109 yards and 1 touchdown in the Broncos final preseason game. In the preseason, many of those final games are a player’s final chance to showcase their abilities. Not only are they trying to make the team they are currently on, but it also allows them to potentially impress another team.
Okwuegbunam did just that, and will now be playing for the defending NFC champions.
