Alex Fudge made up for his first-half technical foul in a big way Friday night. The transfer from LSU provided one of Florida’s highlights of the season during an epic second-half comeback to beat rival Florida State in Tallahassee.
On a UF possession mid-way through the second half, Fudge began to take flight from outside the lane and got above FSU’s 7-4 Naheem McLeod for a posterizing slam.

Fudge’s dunk put the Gators up 56-48. It was part of a 50-24 second half for Florida in Tallahassee.
Todd Golden’s squad could not buy a basket in the first half of play. On one rough sequence for the Gators, Fudge got a technical foul after a dunk when UF was down double digits and desperately needed to go on a run. The second-half slam was quite the way to make up for the earlier misstep.
Florida won by a score of 76-67. With the win, the Gators improved to 3-1. Florida State fell to 0-4 on the year.
