Alex Golesh says transfer DT is ‘on a straight up mission’ to win starting role

Alex Golesh just heaped some major praise on incoming defensive tackle transfer Cody Sigler.
According to Golesh, Sigler has stood out on tape and keeps showing the Auburn staff that he belongs. The Arkansas State transfer is “on a straight up mission to go win a job,” he said on Tuesday.
Sigler was fantastic last season for the Red Wolves, totaling 5 sacks, 7 tackles for loss and 6 pass deflections, which earned him All-Sun Belt honors. He hopped into the transfer portal after helping Arkansas State to a 5-3 finish in conference play during his lone year in Division I football. Before playing at Arkansas State, Sigler spent 3 seasons with Division II West Alabama.
Auburn’s team motto under Alex Golesh is “Be who you say you are.” The former South Florida coach admitted that he isn’t really one for mottos, but “be who you say you are” remains pretty consistent with that mindset.
