Alex Golesh sends message to 2027 recruits ahead of first full cycle
Alex Golesh is looking to rebuild Auburn into a winning program within the loaded SEC, and he needs high-level talent to accomplish that.
And so with the 2026 recruiting cycle all but wrapped up at this juncture, Golesh has already begun turning his attention to prospects in the 2027 class.
The new head man on the plains laid out his message to potential recruits, and it makes a rather bold claim about Auburn’s past.
“This is one of the most historic, blueblood programs in college football history,” Alex Golesh said. “You come be the one to help us get back.”
Golesh is obviously attempting to sell his program with a strong call to action, but many fans may argue that there are a host of other college football teams that historically eclipse the Tigers.
Still, Golesh has not shied away from being bold since taking over at Auburn, and it appears that he hopes his first full recruiting cycle can be a fruitful one.
As of now, only one player is a part of the Tigers’ 2027 class. That would be Plantation, Florida native Trae Proctor, a 3-star tight end according to 247Sports.
The same recruiting service ranked Auburn’s 2026 class 30th in its composite as of the February Signing Day.
