Alvin Kamara is now in an incredibly exclusive club. For the first time since 1929, an NFL player has scored 6 rushing touchdowns in a single game.
Kamara’s sixth came late in the fourth quarter, extending New Orleans’ lead over Minnesota to 52-33 with the successful extra point.

Per ESPN Stats & Info, Kamara is the fourth player in NFL history with six touchdowns in a game. The last player to accomplish the feat was Gale Sayers, who logged four rushing touchdowns, a receiving TD and a punt return for a score in 1965.
The Saints had a prime chance to get 7 rushing scores for Kamara. Head coach Sean Payton was roasted on social media for deciding to keep Kamara on the sidelines and instead run Taysom Hill from the 1-yard line with roughly four minutes left in the game. Thankfully, Payton kept Kamara on the field for New Orleans’ final red zone possession.
Kamara fantasy owners have a lot to celebrate, too. His 56.2 fantasy points is the fourth-highest score ever in the last 20 years. It is also the highest Week 16 output, all-but-officially locking up 2020 league championships for some lucky owners.
In addition to tying the NFL record, Kamara also recorded a career-high 155 rushing yards.
