Andy Kennedy may soon be leaving the SEC Network.

No, the coach is not being poached by another network, Kennedy may soon land a head coaching position.

According to Evan Daniels of 247Sports, the former Ole Miss basketball coach is “the clear frontrunner” to land the UAB job. Robert Ehsan, UAB’s previous coach, was dismissed after leading the Blazers to a 76-57 overall record in four seasons.

Kennedy was at Ole Miss from 2006-2018, where he racked up a 245-156 overall record leading the Rebel program. However, the Rebels went to the NCAA Tournament just two times under Kennedy while making six NIT runs.

Following his resignation at Ole Miss during the 2018 season, Kennedy has been an analyst at the SEC Network.
