Former Tennessee offensive lineman Cosey Coleman, a second-round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2000, was arrested on felony charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery.
According to the Tampa Tribune, the former Bucs guard was booked on Monday morning at his home after being seen on video punching a fellow patron at a sports bar named Ducky’s Sports Lounge.
He was taken outside the bar, then after seeing the man he punched leaving the bar, he stopped his car in the parking lot. He grabbed a gun from inside his vehicle, cocked it and pointed it toward him. Security got a hold of him to prevent the situation from getting worse.
This isn’t the first time Coleman has been in trouble in Hillsborough County. He was arrested twice previously for domestic violence in 2002 and 2008.
Coleman played seven seasons in the NFL, five with the Bucs and two with the Browns, after being a consensus All-American at Tennessee in 1999.
