SEC fans in the Eastern and Central time zones can be forgiven if they didn’t stay up to watch the entire Washington State-Cal game.

In the aftermath of No. 2 Clemson losing 27-24 to an unranked Syracuse team, though, No. 8 Washington State never even had a chance against an unranked Cal team, getting blown out 37-3.

QB Luke Falk, Wazzu’s Heisman Trophy candidate, had an awful night, throwing a whopping five interceptions against the Golden Bears.

The Cougars never had a chance against Cal, turning it over a total of seven times (compared to zero times for the Bears).

Following Clemson’s loss, it was a spooky Friday the 13th for a couple of the nation’s top teams, as now there is sure to be a major shakeup at the top of the AP Poll.

Can the rest of the country’s top teams avoid major upsets now that the calendar has flipped to Saturday the 14th? Only time will tell, but if more top teams go down, this could quickly turn into one of the wildest weekends in college football history.
