Anthony Richardson is taking part in his first-ever NFL minicamp as a member of the Indianapolis Colts. Though nerves are undoubtedly a part of the transition, Richardson wanted to open his press conference with a joke.

Asked about his experience being in the NFL to this point, Richardson quoted the infamous press conference produced by Marshawn Lynch during his time with the Seattle Seahawks:

“I’m just here so I won’t get fined,” Richardson said to a chorus of laughter before quickly explaining himself. “I’m just kidding. Nah, I’m kidding, I told my mom I was going to do that.”

After the laughter subsided, Richardson went on to describe his early experience as “everything I dreamed of” but did note the amount of work that goes into the process.

“It’s been everything I dreamed of. It’s a lot of work, and when I say it’s a lot of work, I mean it’s a lot of work,” said Richardson. “Just being here with the vets, watching them work and trying to find my own routine within everything and just grind, day in and day out. It’s everything I dreamed of but it’s a lot.”
