AP announces SEC basketball awards, All-SEC selections

The league’s coaches have voted on the top basketball honors in the Southeastern Conference and now the votes are in from the league’s media regarding the top basketball honors in the conference.

Alabama senior Herb Jones has been named player of the year by the AP after receiving five (of 14) votes for the honor. Moses Moody received four of the votes.

Alabama coach Nate Oats won coach of the year voting while Arkansas coach Eric Musselman finished second after receiving two votes.
