Ohio State, Indiana, Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia and Oregon stayed right where they were at in the latest Associated Press Top 25 college football poll released Sunday.
Ole Miss moved up 1 spot to No. 7 after downing then-No. 13 Oklahoma 34-26 in Week 9. The Rebels swapped spots with Georgia Tech, which moved down to No. 8 despite the Yellow Jackets thumping Syracuse 41-16.
Vanderbilt also moved up a spot to No. 9 after upending then-No. 15 Missouri 17-10. Tennessee moved up 3 spots to No. 14 in the poll after upending Kentucky 56-34. The Sooners fell 5 spots to No. 18 and Missouri fell 4 spots to No. 19.
Texas moved up 2 positions to No. 20 after squeaking past Mississippi State 45-38 in overtime. In all, the SEC placed 9 teams in the Top 25 – more than any other conference.
The SEC has 2 matchups in Week 10 involving ranked teams, as Vanderbilt takes on Texas (noon ET, ABC) in Austin and Oklahoma plays at Tennessee (7:30 pm ET, ABC). Among the other ranked teams in action in Week 10 are Georgia, which plays Florida in Jacksonville (3:30 pm ET, ABC) and Ole Miss, which hosts South Carolina (7 pm ET, ESPN).
