The AP Top 25 is out after Championship Weekend. If it were up to the voters, no SEC teams would play for the national championship. We’ll see what the College Football Playoff selection committee has to say when it names the final 4.

Following the conference championship games, the AP Top 25 features a top 4 of No. 1 Michigan, No. 2 Washington, No. 3 Texas and No. 4 Florida State.

Alabama is No. 5 in the AP Top 25 rankings after a 27-24 win over No. 1 Georgia in the SEC Championship Game. UGA drops 5 spots, checking at No. 6.

As expected, Michigan, Washington and Texas all moved up.

U-M and UW each finish 13-0 as conference champions. The Wolverines defeated Iowa 26-0 to win the Big Ten. The Huskies beat Oregon 34-31 in the Pac-12 Championship Game, their second win over the Ducks this season.

Texas jumped 4 spots with its 49-21 blowout win in the Big 12 Championship Game over Oklahoma State. The Longhorns are 12-1, but jumped Florida State.

FSU remained at No. 4 after defeating Louisville 16-6 in the ACC Championship Game to improve to 13-0. The Seminoles are without star quarterback Jordan Travis and also did not have backup Tate Rodemaker on Saturday.
