In Week 6, the top four teams in the Associated Press Top 25 took care of business. Then the upsets started.

Three top-10 teams lost on Saturday. The highest-ranked team to fall was No. 5 LSU. The Tigers were slight favorites to win against No. 22 Florida, but the Gators pulled off a 27-19 upset in The Swamp.

The Big 12 rivalry clash in Dallas lived up to its classic nickname, the Red River Shootout (the game is officially known as the more PC-friendly Red River Showdown). No. 7 Oklahoma stumbled for the first time this season, losing to No. 19 Texas 45-48.

No. 8 Auburn traveled to Starkville, Miss. on Saturday and won’t be bringing a victory back to the Plains. Mississippi State, a team that was previous ranked, upset the Tigers 23-9.

LSU and AU weren’t the only SEC teams unable to win on the road. No. 13 Kentucky lost in overtime to an unranked Texas A&M team 14-20.

The worst home loss undoubtedly belongs to No. 14 Stanford. Hosting an unranked Utah, the Cardinal got blown out 21-40. It’s the type of loss that could potentially get Stanford bounced from the rankings, especially with Mississippi State and Texas A&M making cases to re-enter the Top 25.
