The AP Top 25 has arrived ahead of the 2025 season.
Associated Press voters revealed their preseason top 25 teams on Monday. The poll will serve as the rankings of record until the College Football Playoff selection committee releases its top 25 toward the home stretch.
Texas claims the top spot in the AP poll. The Longhorns are coming off back-to-back CFP appearances and have 3rd-year quarterback Arch Manning stepping into the starting role.
The votes did not work out for a top-2 Week 1 showdown in Columbus. Instead of defending national champion Ohio State at No. 2, the Buckeyes are No. 3 behind Penn State.
