The No. 17 Texas Longhorns are locked in a tight battle at home against the Arkansas Razorbacks in a Week 13 matchup that has massive College Football Playoff implications for the Horns.

After last weekend’s blowout loss to the Georgia Bulldogs, Texas currently finds itself on the outside looking in heading into rivalry weekend, and they have zero margin for error if they want to have a shot at making the final field.

That means a win today against Arkansas is an absolute must, and star quarterback Arch Manning extended Texas’ early lead in a very surprising fashion by catching a pass from freshman wide receiver Parker Livingston in the end zone on a trick play.

In addition to this wild touchdown reception, Manning has also passed for 191 yards and has tossed a couple more touchdowns through the air as of this writing. After a lackluster showing against the Dawgs last weekend, Arch has bounced back in a big way early on for the Longhorns.

Things didn’t start the way anybody anticipated for Manning this season, but he’s quietly bounced back after a rocky first several weeks of the season, entering Saturday with 2,660 total yards and 25 total touchdowns.

If he and Texas can pull out the win today against the Hogs, then they will have set up a massive Week 14 showdown against No. 3 Texas A&M with a potential spot in the CFP on the line.
