Arkansas QB Austin Allen spent a portion of his summer at the Manning Passing Academy, where he earned some new, high-profile fans.
According to Ole Miss legend Archie Manning, the Arkansas offense is in good hands this fall as long as Allen is under center.
On Tuesday’s episode of Sports Talk with Bo Mattingly, Manning said he saw a lot of good things from Allen over the summer and thinks he has what it takes to have another outstanding season:
Manning on Austin Allen: We think the world of him. He’s a real solid kid, a tough kid. … He’s a good leader. Showed a lot of toughness.

Allen threw for 3,430 yards and 25 touchdowns in 2016, but he’ll need to be even better in 2017 if the Razorbacks are going to improve on last year’s 7-6 record.
