Arik Gilbert is back on the football field and scoring touchdowns. The LSU transfer showed he’s still got it during G-Day.
While diehard Georgia fans have been following updates on Gilbert this spring, other college football fans may have forgotten about the former 5-star recruit. Gilbert started his career at LSU in 2020. He entered the transfer portal after the season. Gilbert initially committed to Florida on Jan. 31, 2021, but backed off that pledge and transferred to UGA on June 1. Gilbert did not play during Georgia’s 2021 season, however, as he was away from the team last year.
Saturday, Gilbert reminded everyone that he’s still an elite pass-catcher, scoring the first touchdown of UGA’s spring game.

Georgia’s tight end room looks to be loaded this fall, with Gilbert and Oscar Delp joining Brock Bowers and Darnell Washington.
