Trevor Wood’s stats won’t blow you away but based on the information Arizona has listed on the former Wildcat tight end, Texas A&M is potentially getting a nice addition in the experienced graduate transfer.
Wood announced his commitment to the Aggies Wednesday on Twitter. If you are unfamiliar with Wood, he has one final season of eligibility remaining after appearing on the field for Arizona over the last four years (he missed the entire 2015 season due to injury but played in all 14 games in 2014). Known for his work on special teams and blocking in Rich Rodriguez’s offensive system, Wood should help bring a veteran presence into Jimbo Fisher’s first season in College Station.
Ironically enough, he had the opportunity to play for Kevin Sumlin at Arizona but will instead play for the Aggies in 2018.
