Dan Mullen offers latest update on 4-star receiver signee Arjei Henderson
Late last week, Dan Mullen was hopeful that four-star signee Arjei Henderson would arrive on campus in time for training camp.
Here is what the Florida coach offered up when asked about Henderson’s status on Friday: “Henderson is finishing up [class], he will be here this weekend and he has things to finish up just because of where his school calendar was.”
Unfortunately, that’s not the way it worked out and Henderson, as the receiver did not make it to the Gainesville campus over the weekend. When asked for a status update on the four-star Texas native on Monday, Mullen said there wasn’t really much of an update and admitted university officials being off for the weekend didn’t help matters.
“No, not since last time — even though we worked, most of the university and most of everybody else that goes with that stuff still hasn’t,” Mullen noted on Monday. “He’s finishing class actually.”
The 6-foot-1, 183-pound Henderson was rated as the No. 140 overall prospect in the nation and the No. 23 receiver by 247Sports Composite Rankings when he signed with the Gators. The team is also awaiting the arrival of 2019 four-star offensive lineman Wardrick Wilson to finish out the program’s latest signing class.
