The Arkansas Razorbacks recently agreed to play two games against an in-state school — Arkansas-Pine Bluff — for the first time in 65 years.
With the first game set to take place in 2021 (and the second on the schedule for 2024), the Hogs now have some inside information on their opponents.
Per a tweet from former UAPB defensive coordinator Alonzo Hampton, he is now on coach Chad Morris’s Arkansas staff:
Never give up on what God showed you, what you’ve invested, the tears and the sacrifices that only you and God know about.#WPS pic.twitter.com/ABdycozqsn

Hampton’s Twitter profile lists him as a defensive analyst for the Hogs, and WholeHogSports.com reports that Arkansas confirmed the news.
Hampton will help the Arkansas defense in 2019 and 2020, and it’s safe to say that game against his former school in 2021 will be an important one to him if he’s still on Morris’s staff then.
