The Arkansas Razorbacks (4-3) face the Auburn Tigers up next on the schedule as they look to stay in the win column after Saturday’s 52-35 victory over BYU.
Head coach Sam Pittman met with the media this week ahead of the matchup, touching on a number of topics including Auburn quarterback Robby Ashford and running back Tank Bigsby.
“Well Robby is their second-leading rusher,” Pittman said. “Some of those are designed runs… (his mobility), we’re very concerned about that. He’s got a strong arm but he’s most dangerous when you have the receivers covered downfield.”
Pittman is aware of how much of a threat Bigsby can be when he gets rolling and his offensive line plays adequately.
“Bigsby, probably last week, he showed who he really is. They opened up, against Ole Miss, a lot of holes for him and he made a lot of good runs.”
In what could potentially be a close game, Arkansas’ run defense against these two very real threats on the ground will be something to keep watch over.
