One of Arkansas’ key seniors has reportedly been lost for the season.
According to HawgBeat.com, Razorbacks defensive end Dorian Gerald broke his leg on Wednesday during practice. He will miss the remainder of the 2021 campaign.
Unfortunately, injuries have been a bit of a theme for Gerald over the past few seasons. He strained an artery in his neck in the 2019 season opener and missed the remainder of the year.
A Florence, S.C. native, Gerald appeared in 6 games for the Razorbacks last year—starting once—while recording 1.5 sacks despite battling injury that held him out for most of the season. In 2018, he was in 8 games, making 21 tackles including 2.5 for a loss.
Unfortunately, with this latest setback, his career with the Razorbacks appears to have come to a disappointing end.
