Arkansas is working on improving the 2024 recruiting class. Heading into the weekend, the Razorbacks have added a pair of elite players to that group.
The first pledge Friday evening came from Braylen Russell, an in-state prospect. Russell is a 4-star RB and one of the top overall players out of Arkansas for the cycle.
Shortly after Russell’s announcement, Sam Pittman’s program landed another major player. This time, it came from a prospect out of Texas.
The player is Selman Bridges, a 4-star defensive back and one of the top players out of Texas for the cycle. He committed to the Razorbacks over a group of finalists that included Texas, TCU and USC.

Bridges is listed at 6-foot-3 and 170 pounds out of Lake Belton High School in Temple, Texas. According to the 247 Sports Composite, Bridges is a 4-star recruit, the 8th CB in the country and the 75th overall player. The system also rates Bridges as the 15th overall player out of Texas for the class of 2024.
With his commitment, Bridges immediately becomes the highest-rated prospect currently pledged to Arkansas in the 2024 recruiting class. He’s the 9th player with a 4-star rating to commit to Arkansas.
