Arkansas is finally ready to crack the seal on the 2024 season. This year, the Razorbacks are gearing up for an elite schedule and a special season opener on Thursday night.

While some big-time matchups await Sam Pittman’s squad, Arkansas begins the season with in-state FCS program Arkansas-Pine Bluff. ESPN’s FPI gives Arkansas a 99% win probability for Thursday, so don’t expect this one to come down to the wire.

Thursday’s opener will also be the annual trip by the Razorbacks to Little Rock’s War Memorial Stadium. The matchup in the historic venue gives Arkansas fans a chance to experience the Razorbacks in a unique setting, and the season-opening hype video features shots from inside War Memorial Stadium.

Check it out:

Arkansas is trying to rebound from a 4-8 record under Pittman a season ago after previously post back-to-back winning records in 2021-22. The Razorbacks reloaded in the offseason and tried to fix the offensive side of the ball by bringing in former Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino.

Is the combination of Petrino and Pittman enough to turn things around for a program that faces 7 ranked teams this fall? We’ll find out right around the corner.
