The quarterback carousel continues to spin round and round in Fayetteville as Chad Morris has decided to hand the keys to his Arkansas offense back to Ben Hicks heading into the team’s critical upcoming matchup against Mississippi State.

This news was announced during SEC Network pregame show “SEC Nation” by sideline reporter Alyssa Lang. Lang is in Fayetteville to work the Arkansas-Mississippi State game and shared the news after speaking with Coach Morris.

Hicks has appeared in five games this season for Arkansas, completing 60 of 119 passes for 692 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. The senior began the year as the team’s starting quarterback but lost the job to Nick Starkel following the team’s loss to Ole Miss.

After playing both players, in addition to redshirt freshman John Stephen Jones, Morris is going back to Hicks. The decision has not been very favorable, to say the least.

Here are some of the best reactions from Arkansas fans following the news:

Predictably, some fans are calling for Bobby Pertino to return following this news:

Morris and Hicks will have the opportunity to silence their doubters at home against Mississippi State at 4 p.m. ET/3 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
